At last a reason to move away from IE6
Although analytics say that around 20% of all internet browsers are still using Internet Explorer 6, when we developed our website we made the conscious decision to not support it.
We felt that there we newer browsers widely available that do a much better job and are less problematic.
It seems that Microsoft have finally decided that IE6 is at the end of it’s run and launched this campaign.
For each person that downloads IE8 through their site, during Hunger Action month, they will give 16 meals to help the 36 million Americans struggling with hunger.
Although it seems quite ironic, it’s a good cause. So if you know someone still on IE6 get them to make the shift to help themselves as well as someone stateside.
Kudos to Microsoft.
