Troika were commissioned to create a sign for the tunnel connecting the V&A museum and South Kensington tube station. As you can see by the results above is fantastic!
A modern-day twist on the timeless masterpiece by Alan Fletcher. Designed back in 1989 the logo is still one of my all-time favourites, and I think the sign does it justice too. Lets hope it still looks as good in 21 years time.
Up there with the likes of Apple and Sky, Audi is one of those brands that everyone would like a slice of. This has been around for a while now, but every time I see it, the green eyed monster rears it’s ugly head as I think “I wish I’d thought of that”.
Essentially it’s a simple idea, but the execution is beautiful. What is it they say? The devil is in the detail.
It seems that today the possibilities with a music promo are endless. Especially in the latest instalment from band, Ok Go.
I remember seeing their last treadmill promo and was blown away by the creativity and the choreography (so did the Berocca by the looks of it). It seems like they’ve upped the ante on this one.
Great work from Syyn Labs, the creative agency behind the spot although it’s slightly reminiscent of the Honda Accord spot from a few years back.
As the technology surrounding us starts to resemble the Minority Report, does this mean a demise in printed material?
This is a fantastic use of technology to engage the reader, where printed advertisements fall short. But there’s something about opening the pages of a magazine that draws you in, the tactile feel of the paper, the new ink smell…
I hope this is the start of a partnership between printed material and the digital age, where the two can compliment each other instead of encroaching into each others territories. Inspiration stuff, and the kickstart of something fantastic.
I love New York, and can’t wait until I can go back there. The style, the culture, the architecture… it’s got it all. I stumbled across this today via SwissMiss on twitter.
I also love Tim Burton. So what better reason to make a return trip to NYC to see one of my favourite Directors’ work at MOMA.
I talking about analogue film, such as the kind we use in our beloved holga lomo camera.
I love the fact that when you shoot something it’s the luck-of-the-draw as to what you’ll get and how you have to wait excitedly until you get the film back from the lab to see the results – or lack of them as the case may be sometimes.
In the age of digital we live in, it’s a real shame that analogue where it all started is being wound down. So I for one will be going to see this film when it comes out in 2010, to see other peoples opinions about the lost art of Polaroid.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the summer especially as it’s mountain biking season, but you can’t beat a good storm.
It was really muggy here yesterday, that muggy you could drink coffee out of it. But today has bought the rain, and with that a coolness to the air. All we need now is a powerful thunderstorm to clear the air.
We’re a huge fan of cycling here at Jack and particularly Lance Armstrong, so this new TV ad from Nike ticks all the boxes, aside from that, the message it delivers is brilliant. My family has been touched by Cancer, so I for one know how important it is to make people aware of this terrible disease. Regardless of what the critics think I don’t think anyone can take away from Lance the work he does with the Livestrong foundation.
This is just another great example of how design is not only about the visual aesthetic, it’s about the message it portrays, and how it can touch people in different ways.
I’ve been a fan of Banksy for some time, but I know he’s got his critics. This exhibition is running at Bristol Museum until 31st August. I hope I can make it down there to see it.
